About
I work with organisations and professionals to strengthen communication, boundary-holding, and decision-making in situations that are complex, pressured, and emotionally charged.
My role sits at the intersection of human experience and professional responsibility, supporting people to respond clearly and steadily when capacity is reduced, emotions are high, and outcomes are not always within their control.
My Professional Focus
Across corporate, healthcare, education, and legal settings, I support organisations that are navigating situations where personal stress begins to affect communication, judgement, and working relationships.
This often includes contexts such as separation, divorce, family transition, and other major life changes — not as individual support, but as organisational realities that require clear, consistent, and well-held responses.
I am particularly interested in how the way decisions are communicated can either reduce distress and escalation, or unintentionally increase it.
Background and experience
My approach is informed by a combination of:
consultancy and advisory support with organisations and professional teams
mediation training and mediation-informed practice
extensive experience working with individuals and families navigating separation, divorce, and major transitions
the design and delivery of funded community and schools-based programmes as Co-Founder of SHIFTwithin CIC
This combination gives me a grounded understanding of both:
the human impact of stress and conflict, and
the professional demands of holding boundaries, safeguarding responsibilities, and organisational consistency.
How this shapes my approach
It is practical and preventative rather than therapeutic.
I draw on:
mediation-informed communication principles
evidence-based approaches to reducing conflict and defensiveness
an understanding of how stress affects thinking, behaviour, and decision-making
attention to how messages are delivered, including language, posture, and physical presence
This allows me to support professionals to remain steady, clear, and fair — even when conversations are difficult and outcomes cannot change.
I am particularly focused on:
helping people communicate difficult information clearly without sounding dismissive
supporting consistent responses across teams
reducing escalation caused by mixed messages or uncertainty
strengthening professional confidence in complex situations
